The national under 20 women’s team are set to leave the country today to continue their preparation for the upcoming FIFA women’s world cup in France this year.
Plans for the under 20 team to begin preparation has been slow due to the ineffective of the Football governing body in the country after an injunction was placed on it. However there have been a Go head from the liaison team who are charge to supervise football in the country for the black princess to begin their preparation for the world cup slated on the 4th of august this year
Speaking to Asempa FM this morning coach Yusif Basigi confirmed the team will be heading out of the country by the close of the day to Spain where training will continue, they have been schedule for a couple of high level friendly games before they travel to France for the beginning of the world cup.
The black princess have been camping at the Ghanaman soccer of excellency in Prampam for over close to one month now, which have seen them play a couple of friendly games over there. The biggest of all against Immigration ladies, a top flight team in the women league played in the country.
Although preparation were delayed, Coach Yusif Basigi says he’s hopeful about his players will perform better at the world cup. The black princess are in group A, together with host nation France, New Zealand and Netherland.
