Ghanaian rapper Donzy has called on the music industry players, especially musicians to be grateful to Zylofon Media and Menzgold boss, Nana Appiah Mensah for his input in making them realize their position in African music.
His submissions were as a result of the irresponsive audience to some Ghanaian musicians at the Zylofon Media and Menzgold launch event in Nigeria.
He advised that, artistes should be humble as Nigerians have shown us how they perceive Ghanaian musicians.
“First we thought we were rocking shoulders with Davido and Wizkid, not knowing we haven’t gotten anywhere, this is the time we have to realize it,” he told Samy Flex in an interview on Zylofon 102.1 FM.
Donzy further pleaded with his colleague musicians to support and appreciate each other’s works as according to him, what artistes say about each other reflects on how the industry is perceived on the international ground.
” If you insult Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy and other musicians, how do you want the rest of the world to see them?,” he added
