Dancehall is a genre of music originated from Jamaica and over the years it has descended into various African countries and Ghana can’t be an exception. Over the years Ashaiman a community in the Greater Accra region has had one of the fast raising dancehall artist that the country has ever witnessed, Stonebwoy to be precise, but aside him Ashaiman has equally good youth who are also progressing in the genre and since they are not well known in the main stream music industry in Ghana they are called the unsung or underground artist. The genre has had its disputes (beef) and controversies as between the top artists in Ghana and it has moved down to the unsung artist.
Fred Yaw Manyo Gabarra popularly known in showbiz as Wizink, a dancehall art in Ashaiman has drop a new song targeted at Xhila Roy another dancehall artist in Ashaiman claiming he should just shut up because of his lack of respect for Stonebwoy in a song he did called “SHAME” in which hed issed Stonebwoy. Wizink said this on the drive time show on YANG l RADIO an Afienya based online radio station on a segment called UNSUNG HEROES, Where he was interviewed about his music life. He said and I quote “this is just a flash to Xhila Roy and he should expect the main call.”
In that particular song titled (PMS) flash to Xhila Roy he used words like “Sell out, Fakers, Set Fire Pon them and he goes ahead to mention him in the song.
WizInk…. Po Mi Skin (literally means ‘On my skin’) is a dancehall art in Ashaiman, Taaboo Line to be precise and he also has a craft in Tatoo art. He has bangers like BOSOKORO and TATTOO which is doing well in the streets.
The big question is…
Are we going to get a reply from Xhila Roy or he is just going to cowardly coil and be in his shell because his lyrical ability is not to the level of WizInk? Am just asking.
